I remember growing up our family would boil and dye eggs for Easter. We'd get the kit from the store and spend the afternoon enjoying the colors and the mess we'd inevitably create. My brothers, sister, and I couldn't wait for the hunt and who would find the chocolate egg. That was then-this is now. We never saw eggs like this back in the day.

Wow. I love the hand painted and the paper mache eggs...these are definitely a long way from the simple food coloring that Mom bought from Woolworths. And yes I said Woolworths.

They are all wonderful but I especially love the ones in the pink basket. Don't forget the cheesy little stickers that we used to put on them or the little paper wraps with animals on them..good times! Have a wonderful weekend!

Forgot about the cheesy little stickers! That just deepens the memories for me. BTW, the coveted chocolate egg has been replaced with the cash filled egg from what I hear!
